Welcome to Renaissance Rahela!
My name is Rahel, but my family and close friends call me Rahela. I’m an Eritrean-American 20-something year old living in Cincinnati, Ohio.
I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent a lot of my time the past few years in a quarter-ish life crisis. What am I going to do with my life? Where am I going to live? Should I pursue another degree to put off having to decide? Rather than lack of interest, my indecision stems from my genuine passion for so many of the opportunities that this life has to offer. But in this weird, pivotal time that is my early 20s, I’m learning that no move is a final move, and the next steps are not my last.
So now, at the peak of my indecision, I’ve finally decided what I want to do, and it’s more simple and complicated than I ever could have imagined– EVERYTHING. This blog will chronicle my journey as an aspiring renaissance woman. I aim to continue learning, growing, evolving and expanding to cultivate a wide range of experiences to make the most out of this life. In sharing my musings and mindpickings, I hope to not only create an opportunity to relate and connect with all of you, but to encourage everyone reading to honor your thirst for knowledge, maintain your passion for life, and heed your curiosity.
